Participation at the information meeting of the European Parliament in the UK on the state of voting rights for EU citizens

#europeanelections2024 #useyourvote #verteidigedasherzeuropas

#PulseofEurope members from #HighWycombe have registered for this event, taking place in person at Europe House In London and also online.

From the event page:
Eligibility and procedures for exercising the right to vote in European elections vary from one EU Member State to another – and not all EU citizens living abroad have the same electoral rights. Notably, citizens of Ireland and Bulgaria (as well as most citizens of Cyprus, Malta, and Denmark) residing in the UK do not have the same electoral rights in European elections as citizens from other EU Member States.

This meeting is an opportunity to understand your right to vote in this year’s European elections. The panel of speakers includes academics, members of the European Parliament Office, and MEPs that can answer your questions and explain your electoral rights – and what you need to do to exercise them in your home or host country.

You will find further event details at the webpage of the European Parliament in the UK under:
