With our #EUROMAT this could be found out in just a few steps.

The German parliamentary elections were not just about national politics, but also about the EU. Whether it is European legislation, the EU budget or an upcoming EU enlargement, there is usually no way around the German government. And parties that are in opposition in the Bundestag can also play an important role – for example, by working together with parties from other countries. In the election on February 23, 2025, Germans also set an important course for the future of the European Union.

With #EUROMAT, you could compare your own European policy positions with those of the parties in the Bundestag and find out which party you are closest to. In contrast to other election aids, which focus primarily on the national level, EUROMAT offered a unique insight into how the parties want to shape German EU policy in the future.

EUROMAT for the 2025 federal elections was developed as a joint project by Pulse of Europe, Polis180, the Young European Federalists and the blog “Der (europäische) Föderalist”. All project partners are politically independent. A team worked together on the implementation, which developed the theses and carried out the analyses of the election programs.
