Jana Feherpataky-Kuzmová
Jana Feherpataky-Kuzmova is the co-founder and CEO of the Institute for Active Citizenship for more than 10 years. She is the author of the Schools Changing the World concept, for which the European Parliament awarded her the European Citizen’s Prize in 2023. She is a citizenship education expert, trainer, methodologist, mentor and facilitator for both children and adults. In her role, she also participates in various citizenship education working groups of practitioners, academics, and public policy makers, combining bottom-up and top-down approaches to achieve maximum positive impact. She is the European Citizens’ Initiative ambassador. Jana is based in Bratislava, Slovakia, but works also for the European and pan-European contexts.
Daniela Vancic
Daniela Vancic is the European Policy and Advocacy Lead at Democracy International, where she has worked since 2017 to promote participatory and direct democracy at the European level. She a leads advocacy effort to strengthen citizens’ voices in EU policymaking and to advance innovative democratic tools across Europe. With over a decade of experience in the democracy and participation field, she is a recognized expert on the European Citizens’ Initiative and co-editor of Complementary Democracy: The Art of Deliberative Listening. She monitors and reports on American, Serbian, European democracy developments.
Democracy International is a global network working to strengthen direct and participatory democracy worldwide. Based in Cologne, it campaigns for more citizen involvement in political decision-making at all levels, from the local to the European and international stage.
European Movement Ireland
European Movement Ireland is a not-for-profit membership-based organisation working to strengthen the connection between Europe and Ireland.
EM Irelands works to build a pro-EU public movement working together to build a peaceful, progressive, democratic EU with economic and social benefits for all.
Their goal is to build an empowered citizen and civil society network in Ireland, with the capacity, knowledge and motivation to engage in and influence EU affairs.
